Community Partnership of the Ozarks’ Caring Communities team in June challenged Springfield’s 22 registered neighborhoods to come up with a creative way to engage neighborhood residents during the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Delaware Neighborhood Association’s June 26 Lemonade Crawl was the winner, bringing home a $500 check from CPO to use for neighborhood activities.
Five neighborhoods accepted the challenge, and all did an amazing job engaging their residents in different ways. Thanks to the generous support of Air Services, our sponsor for neighborhood programming, all participating neighborhoods walked away with prize money for their associations.
- Delaware Neighborhood Association: Lemonade Stand Crawl – First place and $500.
- Galloway Neighborhood Association: social media projects (Beautify: yard clean-ups, Remember: researching neighborhood history, and Protect: encouraging wearing face masks. Second place and $300.
- Bradford Park Neighborhood Association: Neighborhood Garden Tour and Celebration of Neighbors. Tied for third place and $100.
