Delaware Community Garden thriving thanks to volunteers

0

The Delaware Community Garden has been thriving this year thanks to the hard work of garden leaders Jean and Teresa. They’ve taken special care to make this garden an inviting place for neighbors and friends to come sit and admire what’s growing.

Besides the beautiful vegetables and flowers, this garden has toys, a small fish pond and a pergola built by a volunteer Eagle Scout that make it a special place to visit. The garden’s bounty is donated to Delaware neighbors and to Victory Mission and Gathering Friends. Neighbors are notified via the neighborhood association Facebook page when it’s time to come pick vegetables to take home.

Thank you to Jean, Teresa, and all of the garden’s volunteers for making this garden a true neighborhood asset!
