Mark Twain keeps things rolling as we’ve been enjoying spending time with neighbors and friends at our Mark Twain Days at Champion Park on Sept. 24. We hope you were able to make it and enjoyed yourselves!
Speaking of things you may have missed – we had the amazing Pam Stoelzel from Respecting Choices of the Ozarks at our August meeting as our speaker and, aside from her obvious passion for what she does, she helped explain some things and clear up some misconceptions about advanced care planning. While this kind of thing may not always be top-of-mind for most people to think about, we are grateful for her work in this field as her information helps open up the conversation about the kind of things that people should consider sooner rather than later. If you would like to contact them for a presentation or their services (which are always free), please contact Pam at pam.stoelzel@coxhealth.com
We will again be participating in the Sunset Church of Christ Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 29. The past two years this event has been amazing and seeing the response and growth in the turnout has been truly astounding. Last year we saw over 600 families with a huge line going down Fort on the way into the event. What a HUGE success!!!
We’re also looking forward to once again participating in the Bass Pro Marathon Challenge on Nov. 6, and now that we have a year under our belt, we plan on stepping up our game to be more competitive against our competitor neighborhoods while aiming for the top spot. (That’s right – we’re looking at you, Galloway!)
The Mark Twain Holiday Social is set for Dec. 13, and we can’t wait to spend more time with our neighbors and friends at this event. At the time of this writing we don’t have a time set yet, but keep an eye on our Facebook page for event updates and other possible pop-up events at facebook.com/groups/marktwainneighborhood/ as the latest information will always be found there.
