The Adopt-A-Street Program recognizes the commitment of volunteers to keep our city’s roadways free from litter and debris. Started in 1989, the program has grown to include 208 organizations volunteering to keep more than 118 miles of roadway free of litter and debris.
Individuals, community groups, business owners, schools, churches and service clubs are invited to participate. Volunteers who adopt a minimum of 0.5 miles of arterial or collector streets, and conduct litter pick-up at least 3 times a year, will receive recognition on 2 Adopt-A-Street signs posted on each end of the adopted street segment and recognition here on the Adopt-A-Street Program Participants List (PDF). The city provides trash bags to collect debris and will pick up filled bags.
