While all the best precautions take away a lot of opportunity from criminals, sometimes burglaries still happen. There are some things you should do now to make sure you have a complete inventory of all your valuables. Here’s a checklist to help you get prepared.
- Make a list of everything valuable you own and make a note where you store the item.
- Take pictures of each item on your list. Keep the list and photos somewhere safe.
- For all your electronics and devices, write down all the serial numbers.
- If you can, add a unique marking that is not easily removed to your devices and electronics that can help identify that the item is yours in case the serial number is removed.
