This year we lost one of our own in our Oak Grove Neighborhood Association. Gerald Clary was one of the founders of the association and we wanted to remember him with the consideration that he gave back year after year. To do this we decided to plant a tree in his honor. Not many know how hard it is to start and keep an association strong, but we admire what Gerald did along with so many others that have been in the association since the beginning. That is why we decided to donate another tree in honor of all the association members that have given so much over the years.
Both trees are planted next to each other near the center of Oak Grove Park. One is a younger booming Northern Red Oak that we planted in honor of Gerald, and the other, a larger flourishing White Oak, we planted in honor of all our Oak Grove Association Members that have passed. These trees resemble more than just part of our neighborhood name. They remind us of the strength shown by so many of our neighbors as well as the longevity of lasting long past our days. We hope everyone goes and sees our new neighborhood trees. Thank you to all who have given your time to the neighborhood.
