Georgia Queen Burton, a long-time resident of our neighborhood and member of BNA, passed away in August just a couple of months before her 100th birthday. Two guiding lights that Miss Georgia would say: First, she would tell you we all need to get along and love one another no matter who we are or what we look like, and second she was not one to say, “Not my problem.”
It’s no wonder, then, that she was largely responsible for getting lights installed in our neighborhood park. So for those of us who knew and loved Miss Georgia, every time we look up at those beautiful lights in our park, we’ll be thinking of you and about your guiding lights that inspire us all.
