One day two old friends, Bobbi Ream (Meador Park) and Kevin Evans (Delaware) were discussing how to get their neighbors to interact more. Bobbi challenged Kevin and his neighborhood to a kickball match and SGF Kickball was born.
With the support of Springfield-Greene County Parks, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, and dozens of faithful volunteers, the annual tournament is family fun for all ages 8 and up. Hundreds of Springfieldians gather each spring in Meador Park to compete for the coveted trophy that we call “The Bobbi,” and yes, it is her old jogging shoe, bronzed!
The 2025 tournament will be Sunday, April 27 starting at noon. The rain date is May 4.
