This year will be bigger than ever because of a partnership with Missouri State University and Community Partnership of the Ozarks. Fifteen local organizations will be providing information and activities for all those living in the Westside Neighborhood. The goal of the event is to make Westside neighbors aware of the available support in their own neighborhood. Missouri State University students will be providing health-related games, snacks and crafts for families with children to help spread the benefits of health to everyone, including our youngest neighbors.
“The event will happen rain or shine, so grab an umbrella and enjoy a night full of healthy food, games, crafts and more with your neighbors,” said Michala Boehm, Community Development Specialist.
Participating organizations of the Spring 2017 Westport Park Health and Safety Fair include Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Westport Park Apartments and Wilhoit Properties, Missouri State University, Department of Mental Health, Greene County Health Department, Springfield Police and Springfield Fire Departments, Abilities First, Victory Mission, Westside Neighborhood Betterment Association, Habitat for Humanity, ARC of the Ozarks, and Springfield-Greene County Park Board.
