The Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s NEST Partnership, along with Jordan Valley Community Health Center, hosted a block party on June 30 at the Westside Public Helath Clinic on Scenic Avenue. More than 100 attendees enjoyed games, food and fun.
There were many community partners at the party including Safe Kids, Springfield Police Department, Springfield Fire Department, Missouri Care, Westside Betterment Neighborhood Association, Home State Health, Harmony House and Habitat for Humanity.
The purpose of the event was to inform the neighborhood of the services provided at the clinic which includes medical care provided by Jordan Valley Nurse Practitioner Cindy Tull and NEST Partnership case management services.
The NEST Partnership continues to grow and expand partnerships with community agencies for receiving incoming referrals and connecting existing clients with community resources. With the addition of two nurses this past spring, the Prenatal Case Management Program and the Special Care Infant Program have expanded. The NEST offers assessment, education, support and connection for high-risk infants and women experiencing high-risk pregnancies.
