Cody Parsons, president
I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Missouri a little over 15 years ago. I have only lived in Springfield for two years, but have worked here for the past four years. I am a husband and the father of two little boys. I am an active member of my church and have a passion to help others. I took on this role hoping to help our community become a safer place for all who live here, especially our children. I hope for the Heart of the Westside to become a community of people who care for each other and want to work together to make our neighborhood a great place to raise a family. I care for this community and hope with the help of the new board members, we can make this community a place we are all proud to call home.
Billy Cockrum (Pastor Billy), vice president
I grew in the Heart of the Westside ever since I was born. My parents still live in the house I grew up in. They raised 10 children there and most of them still live in or around the Heart of the Westside. When my parents were growing up both of my grandparents lived in the Heart of the Westside as well. So I have a strong desire to see this community be the best it can be. I am also the lead pastor of a church located right in the Heart of the Westside. My life is committed to helping the people specifically in the Heart of the Westside and I am honored to be a part of this Neighborhood association
Anna Pageler (Miss Anna), treasurer
I grew up in North Dakota five miles from Canada. I came down to Springfield to attend Evangel University. Because of the church located here in the Heart of the Westside, I decided to stay and live here. Then recently I had the opportunity to become the early childhood manager at my church. All in all, I dream of day when Heart of the Westside is safe for children to play outside and grandparents watch them. I also hope for day that HOW is a place where neighbors know each other, welcome each other, and help each other out. So I am honored to be a part of this neighborhood association.
Jaydean Miller, secretary
I have lived in Springfield for the past 24 years, but recently relocated to the Heart of the Westside (almost a year ago). I love Springfield and think this it is a great community. I moved from the southwest side of town and my husband and I want to embrace our new area and help make the northwest part of Springfield a great place to raise a family, feel safe, know our neighbors and be proud of saying, “yes, we are part of the Heart of the Westside.” My background includes career counseling and I currently work for Ozarks Technical College as an adult education instructor at the Springfield Dream Center.
