Improvements coming this winter for Sanford Park will improve access and parking. The City of Springfield’s Neighborhood Works capital improvement grant program granted $199,000 for the project, funding a new asphalt parking lot, new picnic shelter and picnic tables, and a paved walkway connecting the park’s existing loop trail to Battlefield Road.
