Bissett Neighborhood Association’s June 5 cleanup at Bissett Elementary School resulted in the collection of 10.26 tons of trash collected (five trash dumpsters and three yard waste dumpsters filled). Fourteen volunteers and 56 volunteer hours (five of those from the Clean Green Springfield initiative). We served a total of 52 households. BNA received about $200 in donations and made a little over $150 for the scrap metal collected (about 1,200 pounds).
