If you live in the Bissett neighborhood, please share your concerns and ideas about how to improve our neighborhood. The Bissett Neighborhood Association is conducting an online and in-person survey to learn from you, our residents, about challenges you face, problems you see, things you find appealing, and ideas about how to make Bissett better. Visit https://forms.gle/r59q6e6BaRq2Vswm9 to share your thoughts.
You can access the survey online through the BNA Facebook Page, and/or in person, at our Oct. 11 BNA general membership meeting which starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Eden Village 2 Community Room. You do not need to be a member of the BNA to participate in the survey, and by participating, you will be under no obligation to join.
We are conducting the survey to help guide Bissett’s participation in the upcoming implementation of the Forward SGF Comprehensive Plan, to help craft future programming of the BNA, and to identify capital improvement projects for which BNA may be able to seek funding in the future.
Similar surveys conducted in 2016, 2017 and 2018 provided impetuses for BNA’s successful efforts to get the L.A. Wise Park Pavilion built, and two upcoming projects which will 1) improve the streets and sidewalks at the Nichols/Hillcrest intersection, and 2) install a multi-sport court in L.A. Wise Park. These past surveys also drove BNA projects including donations of supplies and sporting equipment to Bissett Elementary, street cleanup efforts, topics for speakers at BNA meetings, and most recently, engagement with Eden Village 2 and its residents. This history demonstrates that if you respond to a BNA survey, you can count on being heard, and for positive results to follow!
