Women of the Ozarks will soon have several opportunities to receive a free screening mammogram.
CoxHealth is partnering with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks to offer the exams for underinsured and uninsured women. They will be held on four different days in the coming weeks:
- Aug. 23: Cox North Hospital, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- Sept. 19: Hulston Cancer Center, 4- 6 p.m.
- Oct. 22: Hulston Cancer Center, 4-6 p.m.
- Oct. 25: Cox North Hospital, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
No appointment is necessary for a mammogram, and participants do not need to be a CoxHealth patient to receive one.
After each exam, the scans will be interpreted by radiologists, and participants will be notified of the results.
