When school begins Aug. 13, Delaware students will temporarily relocate, during construction, to the former Sherwood Elementary School, 1813 S. Scenic Ave. Free bus transportation will be provided for all Delaware students who currently live in the Delaware attendance area to the former Sherwood site. Individuals attending Delaware on a transfer should contact the school office to find out more about transportation options.
Start and dismissal times will remain the same while students are temporarily relocated to former Sherwood site.
During the summer, individuals living within the Delaware attendance area will receive a postcard with pick-up/drop-off information.
An open house will be scheduled during the first week of August to allow parents to become familiar with the facility and to learn more about construction of the new building.
Staff at the current Delaware facility will temporarily relocate to the former Sherwood site with students.
When construction is complete, the Delaware boundary will shift to accommodate 80-100 students who currently attend Sunshine Elementary. For more information, visit sps.org.
