Delaware Neighborhood held one of its most popular events again in August – the Lemonade Crawl. This was the fourth annual event, which started in the summer of 2020 in response to CPO’s Neighborhood Challenge. CPO encouraged neighborhoods to have a creative event with safe Covid practices, and the Lemonade Crawl was born (and took first place in the challenge!). The event has become well known and was even written up in the 417 Home magazine 2023 Design Awards edition.
This year we had ‘Four for the 4th’ – four lemonade stands vying for three awards – Best Lemonade, Best Stand, and Best Overall. A fourth, impromptu award was added for Best Lemonade Additive (for the adult beverages). The four stands were the Lemon Lounge, Captain America’s Marvel-ous Lemonade, Lexi’s Lovely Lemonade, and the Oceanside Lemonade Stand. All of the various lemonades were delicious and creative.
