Fair Housing Open House

Community Partnership of the Ozarks’ Landlord & Tenant Education Subcommittee (as part of the Housing Collaborative) is currently in the process of planning a free Fair Housing event 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the O’Reilly Center for Hope (1518 E. Dale St).

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and door prizes include a drawing for City Utilities credit and an annual Springfield Tool Library membership. We will have a HUD representative joining us to give a presentation about Fair Housing, and we plan to host panel presentations, focus groups, and breakout sessions (anticipated topics to include: weatherization, negotiating a lease, budgeting, Fair Housing resources, rental checklist, codes and ordinances, and landlord-tenant law).
