The Doling Neighborhood Association would like to invite you all to our October Neighborhood meeting. We are turning it in to a going away party for our secretary, Mary Kay Glunt, who is moving to Pennsylvania in November. We will have a potluck and party at 6 (bring something if you wish but it’s not necessary).
Mary Kay has been a big part of any success we can claim in Doling and there will be a huge hole in the neighborhood when she leaves. The amount of time and energy she has devoted to the neighborhood and the north side can’t be measured. She is the chief organizer for some of our most important events such as the neighborhood clean-ups and the Adopt-a-Street program and is always the face of the neighborhood at National Night Out, Concert at the Cave and everything else. And those things are only a tiny bit compared to what she does behind the scenes. We can’t give her the send-off she truly deserves, but we intend to try.
Potluck will start at 6PM on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, 818 E. Norton Road in the fellowship hall at the rear of the church. Kids are welcome. We will have Deputy Dustin Kendrick and his partner, K9 Stark, of LIVE PD fame. And, of course there will be cake.
