Spring Equinox Composting Workshop

This workshop will provide the knowledge and security to build a successful compost area. The workshop will be outside to provide hands on demonstration to start and maintain a healthy living compost pile for your backyard or community garden. We’ll go through different materials needed for a successful compost, location for the pile, time input and what’s really happening in a compost mound. It’ll give you the confidence to create your own compost and see that it’s a beautiful cycle of turning waste into medium in which to grow your food!

The workshop will be led by Justine Campbell, co-founder of Finley Farms, a regenerative farm initiative focused on providing nourishment, healing, and well-being for our community. Today, Finley Farms partners with 10 local businesses to compost and has two community composting bins set up in the Roundtree neighborhood. Every week they are adding more businesses to the pickup! Come to our workshop and share in their passion and love for the Earth! This event is free to the public.
