With confirmed flu cases continuing to decline in Greene County, our local healthcare community has opted to lift visitor restrictions to hospital facilities in our area.
Visitor restrictions for children ages 14 and under had been implemented in December to protect against the spread of the flu during one of the most severe seasons in recent history.
Locally, a total of 4,499 lab-confirmed cases of flu have been reported to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department.
While the flu season has not yet been declared over, several weeks of declining case numbers, both locally and nationally, have pointed to an impending end to the season.
