The Nov. 5 Bass Pro Fitness Series Conservation Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier, suitable for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Participants from various levels will enjoy picturesque routes through neighborhoods, trails, historic Route 66, Missouri State University, and downtown Springfield. With mainly flat terrain and a scenic course, the event starts at Bass Pro Shops and ends at Wonders of Wildlife Museum.
The Brentwood Neighborhood Association will once again participate in the event by hosting one of the many aid stations along the race route and offering race appropriate drinks and snacks for runners. A theme will be chosen soon and all residents are welcome to join us at the table to cheer on the runners. And we will also use this as yet another opportunity to build community by hosting a neighborhood pancake breakfast!
