Our Cowden Elementary School back-to-school event was held Aug. 10. Thanks to Bradford Park Neighborhood Association for providing funding for purchase of yard games for the students to enjoy and use in the future.
Cowden’s new PTA President Tara Liaco selected the games and supervised the activities. Cowden principal Dr. Cherie Norman was on hand to help scoop Culver’s Frozen Custard for the more than 150 people in attendance. Zone 4 Councilman Matt Simpson and 136th District State Representative Craig Fishel also stopped by. The League of Women Voters were available to register new voters and take care of address changes.
