The NEST Partnership would like to welcome Lora Miller as the new community health nurse. Lora will be working with the prenatal case management program, helping expectant mom’s with their pregnancy and preparing for the baby.
What brought you to public health?
I love the teaching aspect of Nursing and feel with public health that plays a major role in it.
What did you do previously?
I have been an RN in Pediatric/PICU at Mercy hospital in Springfield, a Community Nurse with The Arc of the Ozarks, and most recently a nurse with the outpatient Pediatric Dental OR at Jordan Valley.
What are you looking forward to most in your role?
I am looking forward to helping new mothers become the best parent they can be and help direct them to all of the resources they have available.

I was once a hula hoop champion. =)

I am married with two great kids; an 11-year-old son, and a 7-year-old daughter.
